Client, based in Everett, WA and Santa Fe Springs, CA, is looking to hire a Regional Controller in both locations.
Manage and direct all accounting and financial reporting activities. Ensure financial integrity using GAAP and strong financial leadership. Partner with Operations and Business Unit Leaders to drive aggressive growth agenda.
Manage and direct all plant accounting and financial reporting activities and ensure financial integrity of plant operations using generally accepted accounting principles
Direct accounting department in preparation of all financial reports
Develops long-term financial goals and plans for major capital investments
Prepares reports on corporation’s financial performance, analytical reports, financial modeling, actual and predictive metrics, etc.
Ensures compliance with internal controls
Guides accounting staff as necessary to ensure data for audits is prepared timely and appropriately, and support audit procedures
Evaluate and ensure accuracy of standard cost and provide accurate and timely variance analysis
Evaluate program and part profitability and provide timely analysis to senior management. Support customer quoting process by providing accurate and timely cost data.
Support general manager and leadership team in achieving monthly and annual financial goals.
Support and participate in Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Manage department personnel. Responsible for hiring, disciplining, terminating, employee status changes, conducting performance reviews and all accounting personnel actions
Use safe practices and work to maintain a safe working environment
Perform job duties meeting requirements of company and customers
Comply with policy and procedure requirements of company
Effective problem-solving for job-related issues
Assist with computer system implementation
Ensures all tax returns and financial reports are filed in timely manner
Supervises staff measuring actual performance against projections for sales and costs
Recommends modifications to existing accounting programs when needed
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong leadership and management experience, skills and abilities, with excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
Advanced understanding of computers (ERP, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.), required
Hyperion experience a plus
Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing experience and skills required
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
Excellent financial analysis capabilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to understand and follow company’s quality system requirements
Ability and knowledge to meet company job requirements
Interact with company headquarters and other company location personnel
Ability to travel occasionally
4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, required.
Masters degree, preferred.
7+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong hands-on experience and skills in cost accounting, month-end close, financial planning, forecasting and modeling, required.
