The Other America

In early December, 2008, The Financial Executives Networking Group was contacted by Jack Renaud, a Producer with CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, about a piece they were doing on white collar layoffs and networking.

Russell Long, a member of The FENG's Bergen, New Jersey chapter, graciously offered to share how his leaving Standard & Poor's after 20+ years has affected him and his family.

Russ was most recently a Managing Director of Standard & Poor's Rating Services. He has also been their North America Chief Credit Officer as well as a Managing Director of their Fund Ratings Group. His areas of expertise include Structured Finance and Credit Risk Analysis. He holds an MBA in Finance from New York University and a BA in Criminal Justice from Long Island University.

The interview was conducted by Seth Doane, a Correspondent with CBS Evening News.
