Presentation:
The incidents of personal and corporate cyberattacks have increased multifold in the last few years, with the players becoming more sophisticated actors, and the tools employed becoming highly efficient and effective, such that the means and methods of attack are evolving at lightning speed. It is estimated that in excess of 350,000 new malicious programs are launched worldwide per day. If you haven’t been a victim – either personally or professionally – you’re probably lucky mostly, maybe good, but certainly in need of education and guidance on this most relevant topic.

Prevention, defense, recovery, cost and impact of a cyberattack are just a few of the issues the modern day CFO faces, but if a victim – either personally or professionally – dealing with this issue will take over your life for a bit…maybe a long bit, frankly.

Speakers: Our panelists include:
- Laurinda Swank, Chief Financial Officer, Indianapolis Business Journal, and FENG member, who will recount IBJ’s own experience with a ransomware demand,

- Reid Putnam, Vice President, Property & Casualty, Gregory & Appel Insurance, who will advise attendees on how to financially protect the enterprise

- Scott Coleman, Director of Technology, SecureUP, who will educate regarding the scope of the problem worldwide, costs of recovery, and how to reduce risk and impact to the person and firm.

Please note: This is a private meeting. Current or prospective FENG members (having 15+ years of finance experience) are invited to attend.

Donations: We will have a donation jar at the meeting please help us make this work by contributing.
