Topic: 2021 tax laws and likely issues in the year ahead

Speaker: Craig Elggren CPA

Presentation:
Craig’s presentation on Tuesday, December 8 will be Getting Ready for Your 2020 Tax Return. In his presentation Craig will address specific topics important to small business owners and individuals planning for their 2020 taxes. Key topics include:

1. Lower Taxes by maximizing deductions from:
- Section 179 Fixed Asset Acquisitions
- Payments to Qualified Retirement Plans
- Accelerating Cash Payments for ordinary business deductions
- Utilizing tax credits for R&D, etc.
- Selling business assets with installment sale agreement

2. Key law changes for tax year 2020

3. Concerns for tax planning such as 20 percent deduction for business owners

Speaker's bio:
Craig L. Elggren, CPA has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona since 1981. Craig has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in International management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Craig worked for two years with Price Waterhouse and Company and has served as Company comptroller for two small Companies early in his career.

For the last 26 years, Craig has owned his own Public Accounting practice where he has worked extensively with small to medium size Companies in a variety of industries. His emphasis is in corporate taxation and accounting providing Review and Compilation services along with tax preparation. His work also includes interfacing with banks and other financial institutions assisting clients improve cash flow and with the purchase of equipment and real estate. He has worked extensively with several clients as an accountant and advisor to assist in improving their day to day cash flow and works extensively with clients to assist them in minimizing their tax obligations. As an accountant Craig has and currently works with clients throughout the Phoenix Arizona valley.
