Course Contents:
This class is designed to help the audience understand the impact of COVID-19 on the various insurance policy coverages. Also, we will discuss the questions being asked of insurance companies, the political discussions in the industry and ways to mitigate risks related to the pandemic.
Learning Objectives:
1. To understand the broad influence the COVID-19 pandemic has had on business insurance policies including Property, Liability, Directors and Officers, Cyber.
2. To gain a better insight on risk management practices to help mitigate future risks and claims related to a virus.
Speaker's bio:
Matt grew up in southern Indiana and earned his Undergraduate degree in Business from Indiana University. Matt later earned his MBA from Washington University in St Louis. He is currently pursuing the prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor professional designation. In 2003, he and his family moved to Texas through a job relocation. After working in corporate America for 6 years, he opened his own business and led it for another 5 years. Although he switched to a career in insurance and risk management, Matt still appreciates the challenges of owning a business. Matt and his wife have two boys. Their older son is passionate about musical and theatrical arts while the younger is an avid soccer player. Matt’s past and current involvement include church deacon, Boy Scouts of America, Class Act Productions (a local theatre company), The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership, Montgomery County Food Bank and Rotary Club of The Woodlands.
