Speaker's bio:
Alix joined Talance Group in 2009. She was brought in to launch the Finance and Accounting Contract Division of the firm, which had previously placed professionals on a direct hire basis only. She began her career in Dallas for a large national firm. After moving to Houston, Alix discovered a passion for managing sales and recruiting teams in more quality-focused “boutique” firms. During her 20+ year career, she has enjoyed building long term relationships with the candidates she helps as well as encouraging (yes-sometimes to the point of “counseling”) her clients to think through what they truly need in a candidate vs what they ask to see on a resume. She works with candidates and companies at all levels to include private equity, energy (upstream, downstream, midstream, oilfield services), manufacturing, biotech, etc. Her recruiting, management and business development experience has spanned the Engineering and IT industries with the last 14 years being focused on Accounting, Finance, Tax and Audit from the staff to CFO level. Alix holds a Business/Marketing degree from the University of North Texas.
