Agenda:
A “Construct” for Maximizing a CFO’s Impact On Their Organization

The CFO is often, in fact generally, positioned to have a uniquely strong influence on their company. On the one hand, they’re virtually always a member of the C-Level team that 1) shapes strategies; 2) develops overarching operating, financial, marketing, sales and other key plans; 3) monitors short-term performance and makes appropriate near-term adjustments; 4) addresses cultural concerns; and 5) makes key decisions across the entire spectrum of their company’s activities. On the other hand, a CFO also has ongoing contact with “The Troops” throughout their company’s organization. Accordingly, they’re extremely well positioned to convey and, as they deem it to be appropriate, advocate for “The Troops” insights, concerns and suggestions to the C-level team.

Gerry Sherman’s recently published book UNTAPPED: Capturing Your Company’s True Potential presents a “Construct” which can help every CFO materially enhance their impact. More specifically, the book offers “Three Management Imperatives” which provide a framework for 1) conceptualizing and powerfully communicating their company’s core challenges and opportunities; and 2) facilitating the development of efficient, effective approaches for addressing them. Implemented with thought and care, Gerry’s “construct” can accelerate every company’s effort to “Capture It’s True Potential.”

The “Three Management Imperatives” are as follows:

One: Establishing an “Organizationally Based Competitive Advantage” Aggressively
Two: Exploiting Accelerating Rates of External Change Proactively
Three: Executing Relentlessly

During the course of Gerry’s talk, he will be presenting the underlying details that support each of the “Three Management Imperatives.” Additionally, 15 to 20 minutes will be reserved for a Q&A discussion to conclude the program.
