Topic: TRANSITIONING AND NETWORKING IN A PANDEMIC

Almost everything in our lives has changed in the past 3-4 months. Some people were already in transition between jobs, and additional folks found their jobs going away as well. These folks and those still working also all struggled with networking and working from home during these virtual times.

To help all of us survive and thrive during the pandemic, VACO has assembled a panel of experts for our August 13th FENG Zoom meeting. They plan to cover these issues and promise to also save time at the end for your questions:

1. What do you see in the current market for accounting and finance professionals? How has it changed since March?
2. Do you have any insights on future impacts if we are dealing with this at least through the end of 2020?
3. What are the top resume tips you can give us?
4. Can you give us any tips on interviewing via Zoom, WebEx, etc.?
5. Are there any particular industries that need more talent than others, either due to booming business or due to loss of staff due to health issues?
6. What skill sets seem to be most in demand?
7. Can you share some success stories or other tips that can help?
8. What are some tips you can provide for working in a remote environment?
9. What are some reasons as to why a consultant may not be kept on to complete a project or not make it through a 90 day probationary period?
10. What are some tips you can provide for a first time consultant learning how to juggle working with a new client and a staffing agency?

Also, the panel would like to invite you to submit any additional questions you would like covered. Please submit them to [email protected] (Dave Rhode) or [email protected] (Sharon Richardson).

Do not miss this timely and informative program!
