Agenda:

Topic: Sharing Corporate/Job War Stories

Facilitator: Dave Bolton, Indianapolis TheFENG Co-Chair

Agenda:
- 4:00 - 4:30 pm: Welcome, Introductions & Networking
- 4:30 – 5:30 pm: Our Program
- 5:30 pm: Adjournment

Topic:

The objective of the session is to have some fun, get personal, and share some crazy/funny/inspirational learnings/incidents that we have experienced in our corporate/work lives.  We’ve all had bizarre things or experiences happen at work and this is an opportunity to share some of your experiences and hear about other peoples’ lives – and realize that we aren’t that different!

This will be an interactive session where members can share some of their amusing/inspirational/gut wrenching corporate stories.  Dave will facilitate the session and members can volunteer to share their stories in bite sized chunks (please limit to 3-5 minutes per story).  Stories are optional – you do not need to have one to participate, you are welcome to just come and listen.  And for any aspiring corporate comedians, this is your opportunity to try out some of your material!

Examples of stories to share – being terminated, learning from a mistake, dealing with an interesting and fascinating boss, regretting the hiring of a certain employee, working for a weird company, working for a problematic company or a company spiraling out of control, taking on a challenge that almost did you in, being the sole survivor of a corporate cleansing process, or anything else that you think people would get something out of hearing about.  Names of companies/people can be changed to protect us from divulging proprietary company/personal information.

Facilitator’s Bio:

Dave has been an internal auditor for way too many years.  He has seen and experienced many strange and interesting things during his long corporate career (at many different companies) and during his years of international corporate travel.
