We have a really hot topic this month… Supply Chain Strategies, Sourcing, Distribution, & Technology Solutions 

 

Thanks to Dewayne Southern, managing partner of the Raleigh office of Grant Thornton, we are very fortunate to have a great speaker from Grant Thornton who leads Grant Thornton's Supply Chain Practice and will be addressing this current critical topic in business today that is supply chain challenges and management. 

 

This meeting and meetings in the foreseeable future will be held 6:00 PM, whether virtual or in-person.  We are hoping to be able to have in-person meetings again early next year.  It all depends on the status of Covid.

Jonathan leads Grant Thornton's Supply Chain Practice. In 23+ years of management consulting experience, Jonathan has assisted clients with:

  • Supply chain strategy and transformation
  • Strategic sourcing and procurement; category and contract management
  • Manufacturing and distribution improvement initiatives
  • Inventory and service optimization; inventory controls
  • Implementing S&OP and IBP frameworks to improve cross functional planning
  • Minimizing total supply chain cost to serve and the implementation of top tier supply chain technology solutions and ERP solutions
  • Turnarounds and enterprise cost reduction

Jonathan has served clients across multiple industries: Private Equity, Manufacturing, Distribution, Consumer and Industrial Products, Food and Beverage, Life Sciences, Automotive (OEM & Aftermarket), Retail, Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Technology, Media, Entertainment and Telecommunications

Jonathan is an advocate for minimizing total supply chain cost to serve. He has redesigned processes and led the implementation of the enabling technology solutions for many clients.

 

Experience

Jonathan is the practice leader for our National Supply Chain practice. With over 26 years of supply chain experience, Jonathan has spent the majority of his career in consulting advising large multinational companies and middle market companies across multiple industry sectors on how to best transform their supply chains.

Jonathan is recognized for his ability to help clients define supply chain strategy in response to changing market conditions and other disruptive forces and subsequently helping them transform their supply chains to provide higher customer satisfaction while balancing inventory and service commitments and minimizing their total supply chain costs.

Jonathan has a passion for helping his clients reduce costs and improve working capital efficiency through turnarounds and transformation driven initiatives that deliver near term savings to fund high priority supply chain innovation.

Jonathan most recently worked at Chainalytics, LLC where he was an Industry Supply Chain Partner focused on the supply chain issues of a portfolio of the firm’s largest and most complex clients. Prior to that, Jonathan was a Senior Director at IHS with global responsibility for the Supply Chain / MRO Intelligence Practice. He started his consulting career with Ernst & Young in 1997.
