Building scalable and impactful enterprises: how private capital and venture philanthropy can help solve the world's greatest challenges
It is becoming obvious that younger generations of consumers entering the market are demanding purpose in the companies they do business with. Startups and existing companies should be working on creating impact models that are widely integrated to their business models to scale impact alongside business and achieve a triple bottom line (people, planet, profit). We will discuss how companies can successfully achieve sustainable impact and profits, the various ways of creating impact goals and theory of change, and how to effectively measure return on impact from an investor standpoint.
Speaker Bio:
Isabelle Bart is the founder of Impact Innovator and is passionate about empowering individuals of all backgrounds to create innovative and impactful enterprises. She is a member of the global Catalyst 2030 group promoting and working towards achieving the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Isabelle is also currently the Director of the SBDC (Small Business Development Center, a program of the Small Business Administration) at University of California Irvine that provides strategic consulting services to startups, and the managing director for Academies for Social Entrepreneurship, which promotes the development of social enterprises and business ventures to address social & environmental problems. She was previously the Executive Director of RevHub OC, where she managed partnerships and led operations of their social impact incubator/accelerator.
