Additionally, he has been able to draw upon lessons learned from handling these incidents to successfully negotiate cutting-edge coverage enhancements for his clients. David has a passion for training clients and colleagues about Cyber Risk, frequently serving as a panelist at Continuing Education events for the legal profession and the risk management community. David is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, having received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University at Albany. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and holds the designation of Registered Professional Liability Underwriter from PLUS, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.

Jared is currently Vice President for Alliant Insurance Services, a premier global specialty risk advisor and insurance broker and is responsible for designing and managing comprehensive corporate insurance programs. He also serves as Chair of the Risk Management Special Interest Group at The FENG. Jared holds risk and health insurance related designations in multiple jurisdictions.

Michael leads the Digital Forensics and Incident Response team at Avertium. The team is dedicated to helping clients investigate and recover from IT security incidents daily. Michael has over twenty years’ experience in the IT industry and has been conducting digital investigations since joining the NSW Police State Electronic Evidence Branch in 2003, where he led a team of civilians in one of the world’s largest digital forensic labs. Since moving on from Law Enforcement Michael has led DFIR teams in Asia, Europe and the Americas. He has been a regular speaker at conferences including CEIC, DFRWS, PFIC, HTICA and AusCERT. Michael has also been involved in the development and teaching of several Graduate programs in Digital Forensics and Incident Response, including for the University of South Australia, University of NSW (Au), Macquarie University (Au) and Champlain College (USA) and has also taught at Blackhat and AusCERT.

Kamran is a cybersecurity and data privacy attorney. During his tenure, he has lead companies nationwide through the incident response process. Armed with decades plus experience as a litigator, Kamran provides his clients with a unique perspective on data privacy and protection issues. He brings a pragmatic problem-solving approach to his incident response work, an approach that he developed and honed through years of resolving high-stakes litigation disputes on behalf of his clients. Because of his litigation experience, Kamran's skill set includes understanding and anticipating drafting ambiguities and oversights that spawn litigation, a skill set that he uses to his clients' benefit when counseling them on compliance. Apart from incident responses, Kamran also helps clients with pre-incident planning, including developing incident response plans and modifying vendor agreements to clarify each parties' obligations should an incident occur. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. and Europe (CIPP/US/E) and a Certified Privacy Information Technologist (CIPT), Kamran can also counsel companies about information governance and help them comply with data protection laws.
