The conference is about the energy sector in Mexico. This sector is experiencing a critical situation that requires a serious discussion among society, businessmen, political parties, and the government; because depending on the solutions taken, the future of Mexico may be affected.

Speaker's bio:
Javier has been the Director of Oil and Gas at PwC in the consulting area since 2015. He has 40 years of national and international experience. In Mexico, he has been a Commissioner for both the Energy Regulatory Commission and the National Hydrocarbons Commission. He was General Director of Planning at SENER, responsible for government plans, projections and strategies in the energy sector and its renewal process. He participated in various Boards and Committees of Pemex and its subsidiaries. He is the founder of Analítica Energética SC, a consulting company that continues to be active in addressing the various issues that concern the energy sector in Mexico.

Abroad, his experience focuses on energy economics, with 14 years in Norway, where he held management positions at the Norwegian Business School, at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute and at the oil company Saga Petroleum, for which he was also Country Manager in the USA.

He studied Business Administration at the Universidad Iberoamericana, as well as a Bachelor, Master and pre-Doctoral studies in Economics at the University of Paris.
