Speaker's bio:
April Robinson is a risk management and operations leader whose experience connects fraud prevention, employee relations, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness. Her career at T-Mobile and Sprint has centered on helping leaders address complex business challenges while strengthening accountability, developing people, and protecting organizational performance.
Most recently, April served as Senior Manager, Strategy & Risk at T-Mobile, partnering with leaders across HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Security, and Operations. Her results include approximately $1.2 million in annual savings through fraud-prevention and identity-verification initiatives, more than $2 million in fraud losses prevented or recovered, and a 25% reduction in fraud losses through initiatives she led.
Her experience includes employee fraud, misconduct, compliance violations, and identity-verification risk. As Compliance Manager, she conducted employee and witness interviews, reviewed evidence, documented findings, and recommended corrective action and control improvements. She also led the implementation of ID Scan across Sprint and T-Mobile lines of business, connecting technology, process change, and employee adoption.
April pairs this investigative background with a focus on people and culture. She created and led Vibe Crew, a 20-member national employee team, translating survey feedback into recognition, community outreach, and employee-experience initiatives. Her leadership experience also spans training, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
For CFO audiences, April connects these experiences to a practical question: how can Finance and HR work together to identify people-related risks before they become financial, operational, or reputational problems? Her perspective emphasizes clear expectations, trusted reporting channels, consistent follow-through, and leaders who make accountability part of everyday work.
