The next meeting of the Bergen FENG Chapter will be held on September 5, 2024 at 6:30pm via Zoom. Our speaker for the evening will be John Hetherington. John will discuss the “Digital Transformation Toolbox: Preparing for the Future of Accounting”.

Technology is shaping the future of accounting and the pace of digital change is faster than ever. A recent survey of CFOs and controllers showed that Digital Transformation is their #1 focus in 2024, yet 70% of all Digital Transformations fail to reach their goals. No accountant can ignore the onslaught of AI, big data analytics and automation. These new technologies open up huge opportunities for Finance teams but getting full value from your investments requires a new set of skills. Drawing on 25 years' technology delivery, John will host an interactive discussion on how technology is transforming accounting.

John Hetherington is a Technology Strategist, International Speaker and founder of We Deliver Your Vision.

He helps CFOs and Controllers to take advantage of technology to streamline processes, reduce costs and get time back in their day. John has led finance technology projects for over 25 years and has 10 years of strategy consulting experience from large international management consulting firms including Deloitte and Ernst & Young in the UK and North America.

He lives in Calgary and likes hiking and camping in the mountains.
