Topic: Navigating the China Market with a Food Law Expert
Speaker: Edison Tang, Legal Counsel, Food Coordinate Consulting
Presentation:
- China is a complex but rewarding market for foreign companies. The right way to drive business has enabled foreign-funded enterprises to make huge profits in the Chinese market.
- There are some major common misconceptions foreign companies have about doing business in China. Language and cultural understanding play an important role in navigating Chinese regulations.
- China has a different food law system and regulatory organizations than the USA or EU. Chinese consumers like and need to purchase large quantities of American and EU food, agricultural products, and cosmetics. Do not be afraid of the Chinese market due to differences in laws and regulations; nor should you let those differences cause all the money you earn to be taken back by regulatory authorities due to compliance issues.
- Case studies. Great legal, regulatory and government affair strategies to help business successful and sustainable. You need a lawyer who is a problem solver.
