Speaker: Peter Armstrong, Partner of KPMG LLP in Canada and an SVP of KPMG Forensic Inc.

 

Presentation:

This lecture examines white-collar crime in Canada, the United States, and overseas. The presentation will discuss the following items:

- Fundamental fraud concepts. We will look at indicators and statistics and discuss the impact of the digital age.

- Typical occupational fraud schemes and examples.

- Global fraud and corruption: The risks and challenges faced in combatting and responding to global crime.

Speaker’s bio:

Peter is a partner at KPMG LLP and a Senior Vice President of KPMG Forensic Inc. He is a forensic accountant and the KPMG Americas Regional Leader for our Corporate Intelligence business, which is based within forensics and focuses on conducting integrity and regulation due diligence, asset tracing, and gathering other intelligence on people and organizations.
