Clay will provide a general overview of the Corporate Transparency Act’s notification requirements for Beneficial Owners for entities. He will identify Reporting Entities as defined by the CTA along with what constitutes a Beneficial Owner. The discussion will culminate in the Beneficial Ownership Information requirements and the process for complying with the CTA and the penalties involved for non-compliance.

D. Clay McCollor, JD, MBA, is a partner with the business law firm of Stibbs & Co. Over the past 18 years, he has served in both general counsel and private practice roles focusing his practice on mergers & acquisitions, securities, debt & equity offerings, commercial real estate, finance, and entity structuring and business formations. Clay is a veteran and served as a Field Artillery officer in the U.S. Army prior to embarking on his legal career. He holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from Texas A&M University, and a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
