I know many of you will find it hard to believe, but we are now in a golden period for networking, networking and MORE networking. So, I hope you will please have at it.

A lot of people believe that holiday times and especially the period from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve are the worst times for networking, but they’re dead wrong.

Hard to guess what kinds of events companies will be having given Covid-19 and WFH (working from home), but I’m sure I’m sure there will be some things going on.

What this means for those of you trying to network with individuals who have heavy travel schedules is that they tend to stick around the office over the next few weeks. And, if the office parties weren’t enough of a reason to stay close to home, families also frown upon road warriors taking extended trips when there is shopping to done and holiday decorations to be put up.

I guess I should also mention the holiday spirit that you can count on at this time of year to have everyone you would like to contact in a good mood and with a giving heart to those less fortunate.

Just as it would be a shame to “let a good crisis go to waste,” it would also be a shame if you let the golden time over the next few weeks get away from you. To paraphrase one of my college professors: “It’s un-American to kick a man when he’s down, but name a better time.”

Although we will be setting about to “kill everyone with kindness,” I trust you understand my point.

Just as Santa will be making his lists and checking them twice, I hope you will be doing the same.

The present you will be sending to those you know will be the gift of your friendship, and in return allowing them to extend their hand of friendship to you.

Personally, I can’t think of anything I would rather receive at this time of year.
