Speaker’s bio:

Dr. Basu holds a master’s degree in commerce. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The University of Calcutta conferred him with the Ph. D. degree in 1999 for his research on Transfer Pricing. 
 

Dr. Basu's significant contributions to professional management were recognized when he was awarded the Fellow of the All India Management Association (FIMA) in June 2021.  His outstanding career was further acknowledged with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from Trescon Global in 2016. Dr. Basu served NMIMS University School of Management, as a Sr. Professor (Finance) and Chairperson of MBA (Law). During his 34 years of corporate stints, he was majorly engaged in accounting and reporting, corporate finance, strategic planning and execution, risk management, systems development, and IT enablement. His last two corporate positions were the Global Group Controller and CFO of two large Indian MNCs. 

Authorship: The second enlarged edition of his book, ‘Digital Transformation - A Prismatic View,’ was published by the ICMAI in June 2024.  

Recognition & Awards:

Dr. Basu's influence extends beyond his academic and corporate roles. As the principal inventor of a software registered in the WIPO, USA1, and the author of four Case Studies available from Harvard, Ivey Publishing and ECH, he has made a significant impact.

Speakership:

Dr Basu has chaired four World Blockchain and AI Summits held in Moscow, Dubai, and India. He has delivered keynote speeches and led panel discussion sessions at more than two hundred national and international summits, conferences, seminars, and webinars. He is an avid management educator, trainer, and mentor. He has also conducted many MDPs and FDPs for large corporations and academic institutions, and this is still ongoing.  His over 200 keynote speeches in India and abroad, and his YouTube channel with 68 videos, further attest to his influence as a sought-after speaker.
