Many thanks to Dewayne Southern, the managing partner, for hosting this event.
We have all gone through numerous ERP system installations and conversions. I’ve been lucky because my training at Author Andersen & Co in their administrative Services division (now Accenture) helped me tremendously and all of the conversions that I’ve been involved in have gone well and were successful. However, based on conversations with some of our members, that has not been the case with many FENG members.
This month we have a speaker who has been involved in many system conversions both as a CFO and a consultant (much like I have). She will share some lessons that she has learned from some legendary failures. I always like to analyze what went wrong so you can fix it next time as well as what went right so you can replicate it again next time. Come out and learn from an expert.
Topic: ERP Implementations: Improving the Outcome - Lessons Learned from Legendary Failures
Program Description:
According to a July 2022 article published by Oracle NetSuite, “50% of ERP implementations fail the first time around”, “cost three to four times what was initially budgeted” and “take 30% longer than anticipated.”
Why? And what can you do to positively influence the outcome of your next ERP upgrade or implementation?
Participants will learn:
What constitutes an ERP implementation “failure”?
Common reasons why ERP implementations fail.
Recommendations for improving the outcome of an implementation.
What does a successful implementation look like to you?
Speaker: Lyndee Downs, MBA – Senior Finance & Accounting Consultant

She has over 25 years of experience as a CFO or Controller in a number of different industries.
