Experience
Dewayne is an Audit Services Partner and the Market Managing Principal of Grant Thornton's Raleigh, NC office with 28 years of public accounting experience. He also leads Grant Thornton's Technology Industry Practice in the Carolinas. Dewayne serves both public and private technology, manufacturing and services clients. He has significant SEC experience and has served public companies his entire career.
Dewayne also has IFRS experience, and the majority of his clients have significant international operations. In addition to providing standard assurance services, Dewayne has experience in SOX Section 404 internal control implementations and with experience mergers and acquisitions, including performing due diligence and consulting on purchase accounting and financial reporting. He also has significant experience in public and private debt and equity offerings, and consulting on internal controls and process improvements.

Mike is a Federal Income Tax Principal with Grant Thornton and is the Tax Leader of the Raleigh, NC office. He has 20 years of extensive experience in implementing tax minimization strategies relevant to multinational companies and partnering with company personnel as day-to-day tax advisor. He brings value to his clients through tax minimization strategies including income tax accounting methods, legal entity structuring optimization and research and development credits.
Mike has served a wide range of industries including technology, manufacturing, retail, energy and financial services. Throughout his career he has served large public multinational and private companies.
